BOOKMAKING AT PORIRUA. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Marcli 4. Two attendants and a nurse at tho Porirua Mental Hospital, James Woods, Herbert Victor Tregonning, and Lilv Atlv, pleaded guilty before Mr E. Stilwell, S.M., to carrying on the business of a bookmaker at Porirua on or about January 18. It was stated that bets have been laid by patients on race meetings at Wellington and elsewhere.

Each was fined £lO, in. default one month’s gaol.
