TRADE WITH BRITAIN.
MUST BE RECIPROCAL. LONDON, March'3. The New Zealand High Commissioner (Mr W. J. Jordan), speaking at the British Industries Fair luncheon at Birmingham, said New Zealand desired to continue buying from Britain, but feared its purchases would he limited if Britain insisted on placing a quota on imports from New Zealand, which would then he eompelle dto seek other markets. There could not be one-way trade; Neiv Zealand must buy where she sold in order to receive payment for her goods.
