SERVICES DURING ERUPTION. Received December 15, 11.35 a.m. CANBERRA, Dec. 15. The Administrator of New Guinea (Brigadier-General McNicoll) has been made a Knight of the British Empire for his services during the volcanic eruption near Rabaul in May. Awards have also been made to other officials and residents.
