MELLON ESTATE.
PAYMENT OF TAXATION

The Board of Tax Appeals has absolved the estate of the late Mr Andrew Mellon from the charge of having filed a false and fraudulent tax return, but it has upheld part of the Government’s claim. The amount ol the liability is not specified, but it is ruled that a final settlement should be negotiated between the executors and the Government.
