These show that 16 officers and 325 men were killed and 60 officers and 1616 men wounded. A message from the Spanish rebel quarters at Burgos states that the capture of Port Laredo with 5000 prisoners, making the campaign total 51,000, is announced. General Franco, in a speech, said: “Santander is liberated from the yoke of Moscow Long live Spain, Germany and Italy.
