VISIT OF ENGLISH TEAM MOOTED Mr W. Jacques presided over a meeting of the executive of the Manawatu Football Association, when it was decided that the New Zealand Football Association be written to regarding the decision of the Palmerston North Headmasters’ Association regarding soccer in schools. It was also decided to forward the association a copy of the Headmasters’ Association’s letter. The chairman and Mr J. Dick were asked to reply to the letter. It was decided that an attempt be made to have the English team play a match at the -Showgrounds this month. The matter was left in the hands of Mr Jacques. It was resolved to write to the various clubs regarding a Suitable entrance fee to matches. ; A trial match is to be held on Saturday.
