F. Shailcr and family have left the district, to reside at Oroua Downs. Mr Pctleipen is to settle in tluv Kairanga district. Weather records for A lay at the school were as follow;—Average barometer, 29.57 in; average temperature, 52.7 degrees; rainfall, 2.74 in. The district has experienced during the past few weeks a spell of calm and mild days. The absence of wind has made things more pleasant and heavy dews have kept the ground moist. Those farmers who ' have grown oafs have been busy converting it into chaff.
