FEILDING R.S.A.

MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. A meeting of the executive committee of the Feilding Returned Soldiers’ Association was held last evening, the president (Mr B. McLeod) presiding. Also present were Messrs T. K. Hay, C. H. Tate. E. J. Allen, H. Richardson, R. H. Buchanan, H. Brooker, W. Booth and the secretary (Mr L. D. Miller) It was decided that a 21st anniversary and Coronation ball be held on May 12. A committee comprising the executive members was set up to make the necessary arrangements and a strong ladies’ committee was also appointed. A further meeting will be held next week to discuss details in regard to the proposed function. The ball will commemorate the 21st anniversary of the formation of the returned soldiers’ associations throughout New Zealand, and headquarters in Wellington have advised the various associations that illuminated addresses to be presented to tho mayors and chairmen of local bodies are being despatched in time to be presented at the anniversary and Coronation balls which are being organised. It was decided to hold the annual meeting towards the end of this month.
