OBITUARY.

MRS MARY A. LOGAN. The death of Mrs Mary Ann Watkins Logan, late of Cheltenham, and wife of Mr J. Logan, occurred at- the Palmerston North Hospital to-day. Mrs Logan was the eldest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs W. Watkins, Ivowhni, Waverley. A New Zealander by birth, she was born 75 years ago, and prior to and following her marriage in 1907 resided at Cheltenham, throughout which district she was well-known and highly respected, having in all resided there for over 30 years. She was married in the Redding Presbyterian Manse by Rev. Mr Budd. Of a quiet disposition, Mrs Logan was always willing to assist with functions organised for the welfare of the district. Until about four years ago she had enjoyed good health. On Good Friday last she had the misfortune to slip and break her ankle and this accident had the effect of hastening her end. Besides her bereaved husband she leaves to mourn her passing six sisters and three brothers. Mrs Logan was predeceased by two brothers and one sister. There were no children of the marriage, Mrs Logan lived a devoted Christian life, being a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. The sympathy of a wide circle of friends will be extended to Mr Logan.
