PLUNKET SOCIETY.
MONTHLY MEETING. Mrs A. C. McCorkindale presided over a good attendance of members at the monthly meeting of the Feilding branch of the Plnnket Society. Those present were Mesdames J. B. Purcell, C. Tate. A. McGregor. T. Donaldson, Misses M. McElroy, D. Miller (treasurer) and G. Thompson (nur6e). Two resignations were received with regret —Mrs S. Sievers and Mrs Cecil Bailey. Both ladies have been enthusiastic members and will be greatly missed. Mrs Bailey has been a committee member for over ten years. Nurse Thompson’s report showed the following details: —Visits to rooms, 589; visits to homes, 115; advice by letter and telephone, 34; new Jxrbies, 10. Sanson : Visits to rooms, 17 ; visits to homes, G. Kimbolton : Visits to rooms, 31; visits to homes.. 7. Subscriptions and donations were received from Mr H. T, Simmonds, Mrs E. Bra.y, Mrs Clark, Mrs Darling, Mrs R. Berg, Mrs Stewart, Mrs V. J. Stichbury, Mrs Noel Hurdle and Miss Paynter. MOTHERS’ CLUB. Mrs McCorkindale presided nt the monthly meeting of the Plnnket Mothers’ Club last evening, there being an excellent attendance. Each member
brought a useful hint, covering many subjects such as treatment for burns and cuts, and practical cleaning suggestions. A. knitting competition was announced to close at the June meeting, members to have the choice of garments which are to be hand-knitted. A small prize will be awarded for the competition, A light supper was provided by the hostesses, Mrs A. D. Hamilton and Mrs E. Jones.
