Miss McClelland has returned to Wellington after being the guest of Mr and Mrs J. M. Bell, College Street. Mrs Cuthbert Frey berg, of Palmerston North, has been spending a holiday at Iverikeri, North Auckland, and is now visiting her mother, Mrs Wilfred Rathbone.
Mr and Mrs L. A. Ferguson, of Palmerston North, left to-day on a motor tour of the Napier and Taupo districts.
Mr and Mrs D. B. Rowe, of Palmerston North, are visiting Wellington. Miss M. Warren, of Ranfurly Street, is staying at Paraparaumu Beach. Miss C. Warburton, of Palmerston North, who has been on a trip to Milford. Sound, has returned home. Mrs Leo O’Donnell and her mother, Mrs C. Whittington, of Canberra, are the guests of Mrs C. Farra, of Palmerston North.
The death occurred in Auckland yesterday of Mrs J. Gillespie, of Hobsonville, and formerly of Rangiora, a member of a fell-known Manawatu family. Messrs H. L. and A. Seifert, of Palmerston North, and Mr W. Seifert, of Feilding, are brothers of Mrs Gillespie. Palmerston North Townswomen Guild members are notified that the usual monthly meeting will he held in the Empire Hall, Monday, February 22, at 2.00 p.m. Speakers: Miss A. E. Jerome Spencer, 0.8.
