CALF CLUBS
JUDGING AT SCHOOLS. CIRCUIT COMPLETED. The judging of calf club entries at tlio individual schools in the MaJia-wa.tu-Oroua area Was completed yesterday, when the animals at Stanway, Tokonangi and Halcombe Schools were judged by Mr H, J. Lancaster, of Glen Oroua. The judge was accompanied by Mr E. H. Lange, agricultural instructor of the Wanganui Education Board. There were good attendances at each centre, and the calves exhibited were of good quality. Now that the judging is completed a survey of figures is possible and this shows that ill 1935, 243 animals were presented and this year 458. These figures prove the growing popularity of this movement. The championship judging will take placo at the Feilding Showgrounds on December 11.
