EXCHEQUER TAKES HALF. Received September 30, 1.25 p.m. LONDON, Sept. 29. The estate of Sir John Ellerman, the shipping magnate, who died in 1933, and was originally valued at £17,224,425, has been resworn at £36,684,994, exclusive of property abroad. The Exchequer will receive £18,342,397 in estate duty. It lias been computed that during his lifetime Sir John Ellerman paid in income tax and super tax between 17 and 20 millions.
