AIRMAN’S MISHAP.
ROSE OUT OF THE RACE. Received September 30, 1.50 p.m. LONDON, Sept. 30. The airman, T. Rose, who had been delayed at Athens, where he effected repairs, smashed the undercarriage of his ’plane when landing at Cairo at 1.28 a.m. (local time) and is now out of the race to Johannesburg.
