On Monday at the Opera House Palmerston ians will' have the pleasure of seeing the groat comedian and song leader, Vincent Ryan, in action. lie is leading a great community sing to raise funds to aid tho Hoc-key Association in its efforts to place its queen at the top of the poJ in the present queen carnival. His radio reputation has made everyone anxious to see him on the stage. Ills magnetic personality has drawn overflow houses in every town he has appeared in and indications point to the fact that the Opera House will ho packed, a fact that is causing hockey officials to prepare for extra accommodation. Having hoard and enjoyed hearing him over the radio has made liis delighted listeners keen to actually see him. Many antics and stunts which “bring the house down,” but which cannot bo seen over the radio will now lie brought here for all. On Thursday the booking plan opens at Messrs Collinson and Cunninghanie’s, and in view of the interest created in the visit it will bo most advisable to book seats. Miss Doris Moore, Miss Gwen Gibbs s pupils, Miss Jean Scott’s pupils, Messrs L Smith and A. Sundborn are among the supporting artists. Altogether this “sing” promises to be an outstanding event.
