ANCIENT PHARMACY.

A visit to what is claimed to he the oldest chemist’s shop in .Europe was paid by the King on August 18 in a prolonged sightseeing tour of liagusa (Dubrovnik), when on his Mediterranean tour. The shop, which si known as the “pharmacy of the little brothers,” dates from the 13tli Century, and near it is an old fountain which attracted the particular attention of the King. His Majesty took tea at a local restaurant, and afterwards visited a tourist exhibition of national handwork. . During a talk with Captain Hadjia, a harbour official, His Majesty expressed much ‘admiration for the romantic scenery of the \ ugoslav coast, and his appreciation of the hospitable and friendly character of the people.
