(From Our Own Correspondent.) ASIHIURST, July 16.
A quiet but: very pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Mary's Anglican Clmrcii. Ashliurrt, when 1.010. eldest daughter of .Mr and Mm J. Smith, of Ashhurst, was united V tlie bonds of holy niatriuiony to Isaac, third eon of Mrs E. I?, G rammer and the late Mr .J, C. Crammer, also of Ashhurst. Rev. H. Gocrtz was the, officiating minister, whilst Miss S. Road presided at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, presented a dainty picture of' girlish grace in her ivory angel-skin lace wedding gown. hitting perfectly to the figure, it fell in soft folds to the feet, long dose-fitting sleeves tapered over the hands, and the bodice was inset with cut white crcpc-de-chinc. Her beautifully embroidered silk net veil, worn well oil the face, was held by a posy of orange blossom over the cars. White satin slices and a bouquet of white roses, chrysanthemum and maiden hair fern com plead her toilette. Mrs W. Anderson (Koputaroa) attended tier sister as matron of honour. A floral georgette frock, patterned in primrose, rust, and green, with a gauged bodice, • putted sleeves, and long dim-fitting skirt, linished with two frills, was worn. A large picture hat, gold gloves and gold kid sandals completed the enstmhle. A bouquet to tone was carried The flower-girl, Nellie Smith, looked sweet in her frilled ankle-length frock of lemon organdie. A small wreath of silver leaves was worn on her head, and she carried a basket of Iceland poppies with yellow satin streamers. The bridegroom was attended IjV Mr G. W. bniiili, of Ashlmrst, as best man. The bouquets carried by the bridal party were made and given by Alr.s A. 1\ Urowti. Only rela,live- of the vomig couple wove present at. the breakfast', held at the bride's home. Mrs Smith received her guests wearing a brown costume, matching blouse ami a smart hat. A toning posy in shades ot tangerine was carried. Mr Gocrtz, in a complimentary speech, proposed the toast of the bride and bridegroom. A two-tiered cake adorning the bride's table was made by her mother. When Mr and Mrs I. II Crammer left on their honeymoon the latter appeared for travelling in a very smart French blue costume and blue hat* with grey . trimmings. The happy couple have made their future hcino in Ashhurst.
