(From Our Own Correspondent.) RONGOTEA, April 20. The' dairying season that is now drawing to a close will prove to be a most satisfactory one for this district. . Even with the abnormal weather no serious setbacks have been experienced, and the average dairy farmer appears to bo making a marked recovery from the precarious outlook of a year ago. Tho recent porio.d of sunny weather, now followed by warm rain, is giving tho final lift to production, and the local dairy factory’s l-oport states that the output for the month of March shows an increase of 23 tons as compared with the same month of last year, duo to tho abundance of grass throughout the district, and with an increased payment of Id per lb on tho butterfat supplied the amount distributed in excess ot the previous year was over £2OOO for the month. It is computed that the average advance on butterfat payments throughout the Manawatu is silghtly over lOd per lb for the season to date.
