Oi the occasion of Herr Hitler’s forty-seventh birthday, Berlin was transformed into an armed camp. Such a parade of military power bad not been seen before, even in the most spectacular nays of the Kaiser. Millions of hags welcomed 35,000 troops, who were reviewed by Herr .rlitler and General Von Blomucrg (Minister oi Teieneej. hour liunuixii tames and scores of iornes equipped with searchlights- and aini-auxratt guns passed along the Li liter Den Linden ciirough the Braudenberg Gate. Hundreds of sf.Uors also participated in the parade. General Von Blomberg lias been promoted to Field--Marshal and General Goermg to Colonel-General of the Air Force.
