OBITUARY.
MR LOUIS HOWE. WASHINGTON, April 19. The death has occurred of Mr Louis Howe, chief secretary to President Roosevelt. Mr Louis McHenry Howe had been on Mr Roosevelt’s staff since the latter was Assistant-Secretary of the Navy in 1915. Mr Howe was born in 1871 and was a member of the staff of the New York Herald from 1888 to 19RL He became personal secretary to Mr xroosevelt in 1920. He was a member of the National Crime Commission, the Advisory Council of the Boy Scout Found ation, and the Legislative Correspondents’ Association.
