BOMBS BY MAIL.

OUTRAGE IN AMERICA. WILESBARRE (Pennsylvania), April 10. Six dynaniite bombs disguised as Easter giit< packages were delivered through the mail to six residents here in one of the most widspread bombing plots of recent tithes. Two of the internal machines exploded, resulting in the death of one person and serious injury to four others. I‘lie remainder of the bombs were intercepted before they were opened.' Tho persona to whom the bombs were addressed indicated that the sender was a disgruntled Labour factionist, probably demented: Each consisted of two sticks of dynamite placed in a cigar box containing a home-made but cleverly-designed device that ignited the explosives when the box top was opened. Michael Gallagher, aged 70, school director and sexton at St. Mary's cemetery, wa.s killed. It is thought that the bomb was intended for another man named Gallagher, who is prominent in Labour union circles. Another bomb exploded in the hand, of Thomas Maloney, who was president of the now defunct Coal Miners’ Union. He and two small child re a standing nea.rby "'ere critically injured. Other bombs were addressed to other union officials, the local sheriff and a judge, all of whom had figured prominently in recent litigation between rival unions. A general warning has*been broadcast to Labour leaders throughout tho State to be on the look-out as it is feared that other bombs are in the mails. '
