SYDNEY INQUEST.

FINDING BY CORONER. SYDNEY, Nov. 19. At the inquest concerning the death of Mr Montague Hemvood, State Conciliation Commissioner, whose body was found alongside the railway line 51 miles west of Sydney, the Coroner found that death was due to injuries inflicted by Edwin John Hickey, aged 17, who was conniiitted for trial on a charge of murder. No application was made for bail. Detective Sergeant Mcßae tendered a •statement alleged to have been made by Hickey according to which Hickey said that Henwood “got very irritable, throwing things at me and throwing mo about the carriage. I lost my temper and seeing a water bottle on tho floor I picked it up and hit him as hard as 1 could on the head. He at once fell to the floor. I then went through his pockets.”
