LONDON WOOL SALES. RISE OF 5 TO 15 PER CENT. CROWDED ATTENDANCE. (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received November 20. 9.30 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 10. The London wool sales opened with a strong demand. Alerinos were 5 to 10 per cent, dearer and crossbreds 5 to 15 per cent, dearer. A total of 8649 bales were offered, including 5278 from New Zealand. About 8300 bales of Australian and New Zealand were sold. There was a crowded attendance, with Yorkshire and Continental competition, the United States taking slipes. As compared with the October closing rates, Merinos, greasy, were 5 to 7) per cent, higher and scoured 10 per cent, higher. Crossbreds, greasy and fine, were 10 per cent, higher; medium to coarse, and slipes, 10 to 15 per cent. New Zealand greasy crossbred, branded Hautotara, reached 13R1 and averaged 10Jd.
