Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having received the following cable from their London office: “The wool sales opened with a large attendance, the fair competition with the Home trade and Continent active as compared with the closing rates of last series.' Quotations were: Greasy Alerino, Id to lid higher. Scoured Merino, 3d to lid higher. Greasy halfbred, ljd to 13d higher. Scoured halfbred, Id to lid higher. Fine greasy crossbred, ljd to lid higher. Medium and coarse crossbred, 3d to Id higher. Combing slipes, ljd to 13d higher. Scoured crossbred, Id to lid higher. Other descriptions.—Slipes, id to Id higher.
