TIAKITAHUNA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) TIA KIT A HUN A, Nov. 18. The monthly meeting of the Women’s Institute was held last week, Mrs D. Rowland presiding over a fair attendance of members. Visitors welcomed were Misses J. Croueher and B. Sto' cns. Correspondence was read and the president gave an interesting report on the federation meeting hold at Bulls. It. was decided to hold a meeting in December; the competition is for a shoulder spray made from flowers. Miss E. MoEwen gave a demonstration on wood carving which was much appreciated. The competition for Christmas novelties was won by Mrs C. Nielsen 1, Mrs P. Nielsen 2, i\irs C. Croueher 3. An amusing competition was won by Mrs I). Fraser. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mrs Richardson and Misses J. Morloy and M. Rowland. Miss J. Croueher. of Wellington, is staying with her brother, Mr C. Croueher, and Mrs Croueher. Mrs Percy has returned to her home m Christchurch after spending a few weeks as the guest of Mr and Mrs Walker.
