POHANGINA VALLEY.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) ' POHANGINA, Sept. 23. Tho ping pong season concluded-at Itaumai on Thursday night, when the club members held a tournament and dance to which members of several other clubs in the Valley wore invited, und a representative gathering was present. An enjoyable tournament was held, followed by a dance, and the ladies present provided supper. The ■ninner of the tournament was Air A. Pederson, with Air D. Balmer runner-up. Air H Fitzhorbert (president) presented the prizes, and spoke of tire enjoyment the evenings had given throughout the winter months Ho trusted that, with the same enthusiasm, and with more experience and practice, the club would have an even more enjoyable season next year Music for dancing was suppuod bv All with extras by Aliases M., Hanlon, it.
