ABYSSINIA REPLIES.

TO ITALIAN INDICTMENT. LONDON, Sept. 14. The Associated Press special correspondent at Geneva says that the hrst portion of the Abyssinian reply to Italy’s 700-page indictment has been issued. It deals with scientific aspects and was prepared by M. Marcel Griaule, the French ethnographer and author of several works on Abyssinia. T . He declares that the Italian documents are carelessly drawn up and that many witnesses cited have not been consulted, while an error in the date of 1000 years discourages serious examination. M. Griaule adds that the memorandum does not justify intervention by foreign Powers, in Abyssinia and proposes an impartial inquiry by experts.
