VALUABLE EXPERIENCE.
PARLIAMENTARY DELEGATION. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Sept. 13. Three of the members of the New Zealand delegation to the conference iu London of tlie Empire Parliamentary Association, Mr H. G. Dickie (M.P. for Patea), Mr W. A. Bodkin (M.P. for Central Otago), and Mr C. M. Botham ley (Clerk of Parliaments), returned by the Mataroa to-night from England. The members have been away about four months. The proceedings commenced on July 3 and concluded on July 31. The British Prime Minister (Mr Baldwin) opened the conference. . .
“The whole tour,” said Mr Dickie, “was a wonderful and valuable experience and showed our delegation that Great Britain lias definitely ridden out the storm, that ali her great industries are active and that unemployment is decreasing. Enduring friendships have been formed between members of the various delegations and all have expressed the opinion that that great structure, the British Commonwealth of Nations, must be maintained and strengthened in the interests of our modern civilisation.”
Hon., M. Fagan and Mr P. Fraser (M.P. for 'Wellington Central), the other members of the delegation, stayed another month and will be returning to New Zealand via Canada.
