KELVIN GROVE.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) KELVIN GROVE, Aug. 22. There was a very good attendance at the fortnightly euchre party held in the hall on Tuesday night, the winners being Ladies’ first prize, shared by Mrs S. Harvey and Miss J. Gray; men’s first, Air D. Buchanan; ladies’ consolation, Aliss Schwamm; men’s consolation, Mr Richardson. After supper, dancing was indulged in, the music being provided by a profcsional osrehestra. A pair of fowls donated by Airs Walker were won bv Air Gandcrton. Airs R. Hancc, of Picton, is staying with her mother, Airs Buchanan. The paddocks arc in a very wet state at present, owing to the exceedingly wet condition of the weather. During the recent gales, a huge pine tree, near a resident’s home, was blown over, but luckily it fell in the opposite direction to the house.
