HEAVY GALE.

THE VICTORIAN STORM. MELBOURNE, July 19. The whole of the southern portion of tlie State of Victoria is being swept by a 40-mile-an-liour gale, winch is considerably hampering slapping and doing extensive damage to property, electric light and telegraph lines. Reports from the country state that there have been heavy falls of snow. A regular blizzard is raging in the Southern Australian Alps.
