TRADE RELATIONS
DOMINION AND BELGIUM. MR COATES AT BRUSSELS. POINTS CLEARED. (Supplied and Released by the New Zealand Government.) Received July 17, 8.30 a.m. LONDON, July 16. Yesterday, Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates made a one-day visit by aeroplane to Brussels for the purpose of discussing trade relationships between New Zealand and Belgium with representatives of the Belgian Government. He was accompanied by Dr Craig. On bis arrival back in London, Mr Coates said he was not yet in a position to disclose tho details of the talks. He added, however, that the discussions had cleared up minor contentious points which, if allowed to drift, might have had serious consequences, and the way had been paved for a continuance of the fruitful economic, relationships between the two countries.
