BOWLERS’ GOOD FIGURES. Received July 17, 9.50 a.m. LONDON, July 16. Bowlers had the run of luck in the county cricket matches this week. Cover, who has been prominent in Surrey’s bowling performances of late, secured seven Kent wickets for 64. J. Cornford, the young Sussex trundler, dismissed four Worcester batsmen for 17 runs. Walter Smith, the youthful Leicester bowler, took seven Warwick wickets for 49 runs. Voce employed his fast deliveries against Derby with profit, taking four for 118. By way of recompense, G. Pope took four Notts wickets for 30. Batsmen had a poor innings generally, through there were several with scores in the vicinity of 90. Gunn made 113 (not out) for Notts. Pearce (132) and Cutmoro (1()0 not out) bolstered the Essex tally in the match with Northants
