At the wool sales 10,095 bales were offered, including 5176 from New Zealand. About 8020 bales of Australian and New Zealand wool were sold. There was strong competition. Germany was more active and there was some Russian buying. Prices were fully maintained. Merinos were 5 per cent, above the opening rates. New Zealand scoured Merinos, branded Mount Possession, reached 24Jd and averaged 22|d.
