SEVENTY-FOUR RECORDS.
BRITISH RACING DRIVERS. Received July 17, 9.30 a.m. NEW YORK, July. 16. At tire Bonneville salt flats, IJtah, the London triumvirate, John Cobb, T. E. Rose Richards, and C. J. PDodson, shattered 74 international class A world’s unlimited and American motoring records in a 24-hour test over the salt flats. Cobb started and finished the day and night runs, but the others were largely responsible, making up much of the time lost in the pits and with tyre trouble. The average for twenty-four hours was 137.7 miles per hour, bettering the mark of 127.22. miles per hour made by A. B. Jenkins, a Utah driver, a few weeks ago. Hie drivers were Ivesot by heat winds and adverse conditions.
