LONGBURN.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) LONG BURN, June 24.
On Friday cvoiting a euchre party was held in the school, the proceeds being in aid of the school library funds. There was a very large attendance, about 11 tables being occupied, and the games, which were evenly contested, were very enjoyable. Prizes were awarded to the following:— Ladies Mrs Aldorsloy 1, Mrs J. Callcsen (consolation) ; men, Mr C. C. Hills 1. Mr lan McEwen (ronsolaricn). On behalf ot the School Committee, Mr J. Callcsen (chairman) thanked these present for attending and said that the committee hoped to mako the euchre parly & fortnightly event. Mesdamcs AV. Fletcher and Kinnimont, representing the Women s Institute, wero also present to assist in conducting the function.
