MORTGAGE PROPOSALS
DISCUSSED BY MINISTER. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Jan. 17. The Minister of Finance (lit. Hon. J. G. Coates) conferred to-day with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and the business interests of Otago and Southland on the subject of the mortgage finanoe proposals. Mr Coates left for Christchurch this afternoon, making a stop at Timaru. He was accompanied by Mr P. D. Verschaffelt, Mr A. D. Park, Dr. W. B. Suteh and Mr B. E. Ashwin.
