THE KISCH CASE.
STATEMENT BY COUNSEL. SYDNEY, Jan. 14. When the hearing of the Kiscli case was resumed, the Magistrate asked whether there was any reason for going on with the prosecution if Kisch was willing to give an undertaking that he would leave the country. The State Attorney-General (Mr H. E. Manning), after the point had been discussed at some length, declared: “We want an absolute undertaking that Kisch will leave on February 2. I will then place the matter before the Crown authorities. Unless that guarantee is given the ease had better proceed now.” No agreement was reached and the case continued.
Mr A. B. Piddington, K.C., for Iviscli, said he would prove that the proceedings had “been instigated by European Fascists using their influence with certain people in London.” The hearing was adjourned till tomorrow.
