TIKIS MATCH. The Feikling Bowling Club's rink made an unsuccessful journey to Marton yesterday afternoon in quest of the Harford Tikis, the home rink retaining the trophy after a close game. The scores were as follow:—Martin: Barton, Mills, Purnell. Gorrie (skip) 27 v. Feikling: .Tones, Barltrop, Way, Nesbit (skip) 22. On Wednesday next the Feihling Club is being called on to defend the Ainslie Shield against a challenge from the Foxton Club. ENTWISLE SHIELD. WOODVILLE DEFEAT OROUA. The Woodvilie Bowling Club’s challenge for the Entwisle Shield, yesterday afternoon, was successful, the holders, Oroua, being defeated both at home and at Woodville. The following are the details, Oroua rinks being named first: AT WOODVILLE. Pagan, Hausmann, J. Petrie, AleLean (skip) 14 v. Jones, Norman, Aim, Currie (skip) 20. J. Campbell, Buckman. Bridge, Pitman (skip) 7 v. Alules (skip) 28. AT OROUA. Hoffmeister. Guthrie. Andrews, Hewat (skip) 20 v. Blv (skip) 14. Law, Smithers. Jarrett, Aitken (iskip) 11 v. Offwood, AlcCormack, N icholas, Horne (skip) 21. Totals. —Oroua 40, Woodville 80. FLOWER SHOW. To-morrow the spring show of the Fcilding Horticultural Society will bo held in the Drill Hall. Indications are that the show of roses will be specially large and interesting, and all cut flower sections should receive strong support. Amateur growers of vegetables are well catered for- in the schedule, and there are sections for school children in the cut flowers and decorative classes. A programme of instrumental music has been arranged for the evening session.
