LAKE TEKAPO CHURCH.

PRINCE HENRY TO LAY FOUNDATION STONE. Rev'. W. E. Davies, vicar of Fairlie, has been informed by the Under-Secre-tary of Internal Affairs that the Duke of Gloucester will lay the foundationstone of the new Anglican church at present being built at Lake Tekapo. The ceremony will take place on January 16. The church will constitute a memorial to the pioneers of the Mackenzie Country, and, while it will be Anglican property, it will be available for use by the Presbyterian and Methodist denominations also. There will be seating accommodation for about 40 persons.
