RESTRICTED PRODUCTION.
ORDER IN AMERICA. WASHINGTON, Nov. 19. The Secretary for Agriculture (Mr H. A. AVallace) has announced that Mid-West farmers, will .next year be asked to keep corn acreage and hog numbers only 10 per cent, below the 1932-33 average production assuming that normal weather conditions will permit the production of, 250,000,000 bushels of corn in excess of the estimated requirement for live-stock feeding. This excess, if produced again, will be sealed under the corn loan programme which will be in force next year. The reductions compare with the present 20 to 30 per cent, corn reductions and 25 per cent, hog numbers reduction.
