GISBORNE TRAGEDIES.

MAORI BOY’S DEATH. Per Press Association. GISBORNE, Nov. 3. Kere Porehiwi, a Maori boy, aged 10 years, was found dead to-day in the river-bed at Ruatoki. An inquest will be held. An inquest was .held on the body of Miss Kathleen Maud Jane, aged 24, who had been missing since September 28 and whose body was found in the harbour yesterday. Evidence was given that the young woman had left her home for the office in the morning and later was seen on the breakwater, from which she disappeared, no reason being disclosed for the change in her usual routine. The Coroner returned an open verdict.
