EXHIBITION GOLF.

PROHIBITION BEING FLOUTED. MELBOURNE, Oct. 31. Ivirkwood and Sarazen have decided to play an exhibition match on Saturday, notwithstanding the Victorian Golf Association’s threat to exclude them from the Centenary tournament if they do. The association is determined to enforce the threat, claiming that it has spent £4OOO in promoting the tournament, and that the exhibition is likely to affect the attendances.

It was reported from Melbourne on October 10 that the Victorian Golf Union intended to prohibit Sarazen and Kirkwood from using any registered golf course in Victoria for exhibition golf prior to the Centenary golf fixture.
