The splendid entertainment which was produced by the Drama Circle y was much enjoyed by the audience, who showed their appreciation by encoring the performers. In the unavoidable delaying of Mrs McLeavey, Miss C. Vautier (convener) opened the concert with a few words introducing its object. The following items were then staged ; Instrumental trio; songs, Mrs Heggie; tap dances and Irish jigs, Claude Henderson; recitations, lVliss M. Heggie; tap dances, Miss J. Scott; musical monologues, Miss Stidolph. “Tea Time Tempest,” a short play, was acted by members of the Drama Circle, Misses W. Crawford, Parkes, Radomski, Anderson and Harrowfield and Mrs Shannon. Mrs Morris, Miss M. Vautier and Messrs Morris, Gibbs and Crawford acted in the second play entitled “The Grand Cbam’s Diamond.” At the conclusion of the programme, Mrs McLeavey passed a hearty vote of thanks to the entertainers. A bountiful supper was served liy members of the institute. Following this the floor was cleared for dancing, the duties of M.C. being ably filled by Mr H. Gore. A Monte Carlo dance was won by Miss Sylvia Speedy and Mr K. Jensen, while Miss M. Speedy and Mr I. McKinley were the winners in the lucky three-step.
