MASTER OF MUSIC.

DR. NICHOLSON ARRIVES.

Per Press Association

WELLINGTON, Oct. 29

On a visit to several choirs in New Zealand affiliated to the St. Nicholas College of English Church Music, Dr. Sidney H. Nicholson, late organist and master chorister of Westminster Abbey, arrived from Sydney by the Makura to-day, accompanied by his secretary, Mr A*. H. Brewin. . ' Speaking of Australian choirs, Dr. Nicholson said there was a great deal of keenness and much good work; but they had much to learn in the choice of music and, as he understood, was also the case in New Zealand, regarding the value of using boys in choirs. He will be given a civic reception tomorrow and will leave in the evening for the south, returning on Saturday and leaving for a number of North Island places on Monday.
