Mr G. McNamara, C.8.E., DirectorGeneral of the Post and Telegraph Department, was a visitor to Palmerston North to-day. _ ‘ The many friends in the city and district of Mr E. N. Budden will learn with regret of his sudden passing on Sunday morning following a heart attack. The late Mr Budden was for some years secretary of the Manawatu provincial executive of the Farmers’ Union and in this capacity especially he will be greatly missed.
