KILLED BY LION.
EAST AFRICAN JUDGE. Received October 26, 9.15 a.m. CAPETOWN, Oct. 25. Beira, the Portuguese East African town, is in mourning as a result of a popular Judge, Senor Bazilio de Oliveira, being torn to death by an infuriated wounded lion at Mamboue. The lion sprang on the Judge as he approached it under the impression that it was dead. The lion, which had been wounded two days previously, leapt on the 'Judge before he could fire.
