HEAVY FINES.
CHINESE IN COURT. Per Press Association-. WELLINGTON, Oct. 25. Ngan Kum Tong was to-day fined £ISU for permitting his premises to be used for the purpose of smoking opium, in default three months goal. Found on the premises, two other Chinese were each fined £3O, and two more £2O each, several others being fined £l2 10s each.
