siori was granted to Stanley Sharpe, of Bulls, to carry mails. This morning the reserved decision of the Authority in the case of J. R. Waldin and A. R. "NValdin (Feilding), was delivered. Applicants asked for two vehicle authorities, for 3 ton 10 cwt. lorries, to permit them to run in the Icangitikei, Kiwitea, Pohangina., Oroua, Manawatu and Kairanga counties, carrying sheep, lambs and farmers’ goods. The license was refused, said the acting chairman, as the Authority was quite satisfied that there were sufficient lorries already licensed, particularly to carry live stock. “If it is found necessary at any future time to increase the available carrying capacity for fat lambs and the application is again put before us it will possibly receive favourable consideration,” he added. This concluded the sittings here.
