PRISONERS SENTENCED.

Per Press Association. AVELLINGTON, May 23. The following prisoners were sentenced in the Supreme Court to-day by Mr Justice Reed: —Oscar Bruce Huia AVliyte, theft, twelve months’ hard labour; Jolin Louis Connell, forgery and uttering, twelve months’ hard labour; AVilliam Tasman Morris, breaking and entering and theft (two charges), two years on each, the terms to be concurrent; Samuel Osmond Reddish and Phillip Daniel Dee, breaking and entering and theft (two charges), three years’ reformative detention on each the terms to lie concurrent; AVilliam AVallace Clifford, theft from a dwelling (two charges), eighteen months’ reformative detention on each, the terms to be concurrent; Lawrence Francis Taylor, forgery and uttering (two charges), twelve months on each (concurrently) and declared an habitual criminal. NEAV PLYMOUTH SESSIONS. Per Press Association. NEAV PLYMOUTH. May 23. In the Supreme Court this morning the Chief Justice (Sir Michael Myers) sentenced Frederick AVilliam Belli, who pleaded guilty to a serious offence, to reformative detention. He said that only the medical report deterred him from affio ordering corporal punishment. Henry Robert AVatkins pleaded guilty to four charges of false pretences and one of attempted false pretences and was sentenced to three years’ hard labour on each charge, the terms to be concurrent.
