A HAPPY STATE.
INDIAN RULER IN NEW ZEALAND Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, May 23. The Maharajah of Dharampur, ruler of a semi-independent Indian State, arrived to-day by the Wanganella on a health visit and will go to Rotorua. His State is about 150 miles from Bombay and its population is. about lOt),000. His secretary said His Highness ordinarily travelled with a personal retinue of only. four, comprising liis secretary, physician, valet and cook. The secretary, referring to the cabled reports from India, said that neither religions nor political squabbles really affected any hut a very small ]>ercentage of India’s population. In Dharampur they never had such troubles.
